The Space-Time Continuum
Frequently Asked Questions
- What is the Space-Time
Continuum?
- When and where are the meetings?
- What is the cost?
- What is the topic for the next
meeting?
- Who do I contact if I want to
come to a meeting?
- We are a science fiction reading/discussion
group that meets monthly and has been running in Toronto, Canada since 1989.
Members take turns choosing and presenting the topics which range from
novels to short stories to film and more. The only restriction on a topic is
that it be available to the majority of members. For example, if a novel is
out of print and no copies are in the library system, we cannot do the book.
- After the meeting, we retire to a nearby
restaurant to relax over coffee and perhaps continue arguing if necessary.
- Meetings are held at 12:00 pm, usually on the
third Saturday of the month at the Palmerson Library, 240 Palmerston Avenue,
just three blocks west of the Bathurst Subway station in Toronto, Canada.
- The first two meetings are free, to give
prospective members a chance to see if they like the group and vice versa.
After that, each meeting costs an outrageous sum of $1.00 per meeting or you
can join for a year each September for $10.00. We do try to keep the
dues down!
- To find out what the topic of the next meeting
is, check out our Meeting Topics page.
